Great issue Whois-search – the valuation of domains for tax donation purposes. Are there any IRS cases or guidelines that anyone is aware of? What would one advise: have the donor get a Mole appraisal, have the receiving organization value it (based on an appraisal handed them from Mole), or simple get an approved appraisal (if there is such a thing)?

I donated CRIN.com to CRIN.org. Paid $10 for it so not much of a write-off.

How is that?????---you can only write off a portion of what something is worth. A fraction of 'worthless' is less than worthless.
