See the distinction? FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY, NOT MONEY. It's important for people to know that money itself is NOT the root of all evil but the love or lust for money is.

I did'nt know it was right there in the bible! You learn something new every day..I guess the low down and dirty is the greed and lust for money...something we have all been guilty of at one point or another..but realize that it's only due to exterior stressors and factors that this greed and lust exists in the first place, i.e. needing it to simply survive.

You got it Chris, it has more to do with greed and lust versus need. The need for money is not put down in the bible but lust and greed are addressed many times, in many books. Believe it or not, many popular phrashes or quotes such as the one you quoted earlier come straight from the bible, even this one:

Ecclesiastes 1:9

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun."
