TELNIC announced today it is up to 100,000 active .TEL registrations in only the first 36 hours from general availability launch:

"London, United Kingdom – Thursday 26th March, 2009 – Telnic Limited (www.telnic.org), the registry operator for the new communications-focused .tel top level domain (TLD), today confirmed that total registrations from businesses and individuals worldwide had surged past the 100,000 mark just 36 hours after General Availability opened."

I can hear it now from Acro, lemming, lemmings, lemmings...

Acro: Glad you are seeing the light... (about .TEL) :)

I was the one you mentioned with Minister.tel in your response to your Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned article/post.

In case anyone is selling Christian .TELs,

.tel has a minimum of 3 years registration?
I had the opportunity to buy pig.tel what.tel etc.. maybe 40 of my keywords, however, the 3 year registration and $109 fee threw me for a loop

I think the minute that a known corporation buys a dot tel, the aftermarket prices will increase, good investments for $100+, however, im poor and can not afford $100 :(

No, that was during TM and landrush only (3 year minimum). Now it year by year for .TEL domains from $8.99 to $19.99 depending on which Registrar you choose.

The 3 x $100+ trickery is a first among TLD launches. Telnic got greedy and apparently wanted to recoup its angel investor funds early on. God knows how many tm holders fell prey to this technique.

LOL

I just registered 2 for me ... just to get a feel of .tel
I don't think it will add value to my business.

Just my humble opinion.
