Search Tool for .info?

Does anyone know of an efficient way to search for .info domains not taken? The Afilias.info site implies that you can add a "%" at the end of searches as a wildcard, but it does not work. It would be nice to be able to search by portions of a domain rather than speculate on what is left and be wrong 90% of the time.

have you tried the domain explorer at www.whois.sc ? You can search domains containing a specific word where at least one of com,net,org,info,biz,us is registered, or has been registered, and it shows which tlds each name is registered in.
