Went through a list of 1500 names, picked the ones available that made most sense, then checked their usage with internet/web/net/etc. prefixes/suffixes to find the good majority are parked pages. If internet+ can't sell over the years it's been around, meta doesn't seem like it's going to bring me anything but an interested bag holder, if that.
I'll purchase in the secondary market if it makes sense and if I could develop something on it if need be. Everyone asking for $100,000 has bills to pay and that's when, unfortunately, or fortunately, I swoop in with a hundred~ dollar offer and buy it as they surely paid less than $10.
So many domains. You really have to be the first to get the cream of the crop when it comes to trends. Get them and don't picture selling them for millions in the long future. Buy the best if you're the first to the trend and pass it on as quickly as possible. That would be my advice when it comes to trends. Otherwise, you might end up holding that same $50,000 priced name you got a good $500 offer that you could've reinvested over to make that $50,000 with other deals... You can kind of tell that this should be the way by looking at all past showcase trends. Just my opinion though.
Nonetheless, good luck to all in it!
