If I have a domain that I feel "may" be worth something, rather than just throwing it up on ebay and getting bottom dollar for it, what is the process in specific steps by which I can really tell if it is worth something more to the market? I would prefer not to spend extra money on appraisals, unless you feel that really is worth it. If you strongly believe in appraisals, I would ask how do I idenitfy which domains are worth spending the money for appraisals?

You should never spend any money on appraisals ever.

you can also ask for an appraisal on your domain names in the "Appraisal section"

No, it actually worsens the cause. Who is a credible appraiser for a domain? You aren't appraising a car here. You are appraising something that can be viewed differently by more than one person. Not to mention the market is constantly changing.

A domain may be worth $50 to me but worth $5,000 to someone else. If anything take biggedon's advice and only use FREE appraisals by members on this forum.

Hi ClassicNames

where you been :)

bot appraisals are for amusement

they don't give ideas, or point flaws in your process

nor do they encourage you to think

the more domainers use and recommend them, the more credibility gets attached to it

so, in the end.... "one person or group may be determining the value of your domains"

if you want that to happen, say "hell yeah"!

:)

Good points biggie. I personally like CPC data better. Domain value is in the eye of the beholder and the end user ofcourse.

By CPC Data, you mean the cost per click data of keywords within the domain? Is this something you advertise when selling the domain?
