This is a HUGE loss of a true pioneer in the technology industry, rest in peace Steve Jobs, you fought as hard as you could twice against pancreatic cancer and once against liver cancer.

Your life and your accomplishments as a man, a father and as a genius is one we can only dream about.

Rest in peace Steve....

FWIW, somebody already posted a couple in the Make Offer section at NP.

They are sick bastards, we will definitely not allow any steve jobs domains to be sold here.

After I cleaned up from doing some carpentry work today, after I saw the news posted I mentioned it to my father-in-law. He knows nothing about computers, hates them, thinks they are time wasters....but he knew so much about Steve Jobs. He reads so much, usually anything laying around, and went on and on about everything he had done. I was amazed. He's 77 and was so into news and news makers. Basically he was reciting the whole history of Jobs and Gates and how they started, split, went off in their own way and so on. Very neat to talk to him (and listen to him) talk about this.

Very cool how someone like Steve Jobs made an impression on someone (my father-in-law) who perhaps has never used a keyboard.

This is very sad news. I don't think Apple has the slightest chance to keep their market share without Steve Jobs.

This is one of the major differences between your Dnforum and some other forum websites, it's sad to see.

Big loss, not just for Apple, but the future of technology. He's irreplaceable. It's also adpt that many of us learned of this sad news on a device he created.

(P.S - SteveJobsDead.com - registered in 2008??!)

I don't know who created this, but I stumbled across it and wanted to share it.

*edit* - looks like it was created by someone named Jonathan Mak

From my tweet on OCT 5 at 8:52 PM ET,

Good bye, Steve (Jobs). REALLY sad. Not exactly a huge Mac fan, but my first personal computer was an Apple IIe. (And yes, that was 1983.)

Apple is sitting on over 76 billion in cash reserves.

With the passing of Steve Jobs, many stockholders are now asking to take that cash reserve and pay a stock dividend.
