Thanks for clearing that up :)

So now explain this, is it the highest bid at the registrar that get s it that wins upon release or is there not an auction that follows ? I am a bit confused about this because after 5 EST I see what registrar got what and than auction or no?

I seem to have trouble finding the tbr domain list. Where are they located?

I had a $500 at NP for Ray but got nicked in the last minutes...They are a bit of a sniper system. NP is certainly not getting the big money because they sell for the highest amount bid at 1:40 PM est (if they get the name). And they have been getting a few better ones lately. They got finis for me today and I have a couple in auction at Siber.

So what about siber/pool/myid all allow time for auctions right?

Yes, Siber & Pool have secondary auctions after the drop (if they catch the name). Namespro awards names they catch to the highest bidder on their system before the drop (if they catch the name). Egate does same as Namespro.

For those who asked, the CIRA tbr drop list is posted at http://ro.cira.ca/tbrlist_p As far as I can tell, CIRA keeps adding names to the weekly drop list right up until the Saturday before the drop.

What is the best way to bid in backorder auctions. Bid right away or not?

Congrats to whomever picked up eee. Was it someone here?

I dropped out after 1500 - don't want to dip further into the wedding fund! ;)

nope. Still in auction. Intense auction from what I can see.

looks like a private company might have taken

august.ca looks like the owner of the registrar registered it for herself.

and looking from the list of tbr domains, it seems like someone on here lost their .ca domain portfolio because some of those dropped prenium names were sold here before.
