However. You failed to mention a very important ingrediant
I mentioned the only thing that would matter if such an
idea was to come into existence. This idea is flawed, and
one could go on and on forever talking about various problems
encountered throughout the project (bandwidth, resources, etc).
It will only destroy it for the 12 know it alls and the big shots. . IT levels the playing field for everyoine else.
It doesn't "LEVEL THE FIELD", it screws up the little organization
we have so far. Ok, so you're pissed off because the big shots
get all the good names, BUT the two top heads get them
for YOU (SnapNames, NameWinner). So, there are at LEAST two
organizations which capture domains for their CLIENTS, and
they're pretty damn good at it.
Now imagine if instead of two, there would be twenty thousand
or more of these companies. What if everyone in the domain
business had the same drop script and the same resources.
Do you think you would EVER capture the name you're
gunning for when thousands of other people have the same
resources (scripts) as you and theyââ¬â¢re trying to get the same
name?
Let's be realistic for a second and use our brains, since when
does creating more competition (creating a open source drop
script=creating more competition) result in a higher catch
success rate for an individual?
One can argue this idea in a million different ways, but I'm just
sticking to the main problem, competition and information.
Finally, this would never work because the few people that
actually know the drop business in and out, would NEVER share
that information. Why would they? To create more competition?
To drive themselves out of business?
