The next big thing, that should be obvious to any domainer, is IDN.IDN.

This is going to be the biggest change to the internet since Al Gore discovered the internet.

I heard yesterday that 3d televisions are available now, from $2k for a lil one to $7k plus. $250 for a pair of glasses and $1k for a player with 3d capability. So I figure each household will have to spend just $10k for a decent set up. How many 3d movies did I watch this year, oh ya 1. In my life maybe 2, how many will be produced from here on out, hopefully none.

Wait a complete and utter waste imo. The only application I can see taking off is adult movies ;) I mean I wont actually see it... lol

3d video games matched with cameras watching and translating your body movements is going to be huge. But then I guess that could be used for porn too!

3d televisions etc will come down in price just like every other technology

I remember as a kid back in say the early 90's at theme parks they would have that " ride " where you put on the goggles and pretend your were gliding in the air. That was cool lol

3d games eh, sounds fun, like taking a wii and becoming more interactive. But people are generally lazy so that will wear out too imo, sitting and moving thumbs is so much easier than actually running through a forest or slaying a dragon.

The next big thing is to be a registrar of the next big thing.

Uh huh. That's why Go Daddy Bob just bought an $8.5M house and you didn't! Crappy registrations good for Bob...bad for you.

3D porn - just thinking of that is frightening. I'll bet the porn industry already has those domains, shall we say; covered.

The innovation of 3D does not make existing keywords obsolete. Names like Sex.com and HomeTheatre.com still retain the same value and can implement 3D if wanted.

my bad. i am referring to the smart chip then i guess
Yes, VeriChip - aka, Digital Angel.

I used to own several thousand shares of that stock. Never quite took off. Was being tested by British Navy divers at one time.

Biggest widespread application so far that I am aware of was insertion in Cattle down in South America (Argentina, Patagonia) where herds number in the thousands and cattle rustling is still going on.

microchips are already required for pets in Australia. i just mean it wont happen here in my lifetime because the only way anyone is getting a chip in me is when the blood has ceased to pulse through my veins. :D sorry if i'm getting political/controversial up in here. its just where i draw the line in the sand.

back to the topic, i just learned about AR recently, and i was thinking i wished no one had spilled the beans on that one. it will be big imo

Sorry for you but it's already being done.

Yup. Start out with the illegals, move on to the rest. 1984 continues.

yea been for about a year at least. i was talking to my friend in Oz this time last year, he said it real nonchalant, like, yea, my cats got a microchip, its mandatory for all pets here. i was blown away.
