Well this is one of the strangest weekly sales reports I have seen, 6 Geo domains being reported as sold, all privately, and what can only be thought of as absolute bargain prices!

Rome.net.................$17,500
Bangkok.net.............$17,500
Ohio.info..................$12,000
Ontario.info..............$10,000
Roma.info..................$5,156
NewYorkState.info......$4,100

If only the seller had put the domains up for sale publicly! :?:

Just goes to show there are hidden bargains out there.:eek:k:

Good luck to the buyers, you were in the right place at the right time (yes, some jealousy there).

Will these come back onto the market for a quick profit?

Complete bargain! Rome.net especially looks to be an absolute steal.

The first 4 were bought by the same person, so I guess he's a reseller and sooner or later we will see them on the market

Rome.net possibly undersold, possibly. Otherwise they all fall in line with reseller prices and were offered to resellers publicly. They got what the market would pay and spot on imo.

Remember Ohio.org, 2006, sold for $30k? I don't think that $12,000 for Ohio.info is good at all!

Anyway that is what makes this an interesting business, we all value domains differently.

Actually it makes perfect sense. In my opinion and the markets over all the .org is desired more so than the .info . It could have seen a little more or less but that is all it is worth to resellers.

Well if it had been public, say on here, I reckon it would have fetched a hell of a lot more. We will just have to wait and see.

These domain names were intentionally sold at lower rates to allow room to resell. No reason to call me a "Poor Seller", BillBo.

Justin, these are good prices, all little above the reseller value. Good work!

Hi Rock, first didn't know it was you, but as you say 'were intentionally sold at lower rates to allow room to resell'! So these domains are just doing the rounds at the moment.

In my opinion 'you' could easily have got a lot more, but it is obviously up to you to decide what you sell at. As long as you are happy with the price then it is no business of anyone else.

Im confident the domain names may end up here at one point. If you're interested, simply drop the new owner an email, otherwise some of them may go to end users, or held for the next few years.

Also, they are not "doing the rounds." Most of the domain names that I sell were not bought on the forum and resold. The new owner is a domain name investor who obviously purchased several domain names from me, which is why he got the prices he did. I knew/know the true value of the domain names and I hope that he will be very profitable from them.

Note: My sale of Wimax.info was to an enduser.

coulda woulda shoulda.... resellers dont make money by making it a practice to "hold out for what they coulda got" with every name..

make a profit, move onto the next thing... thats the name of the game.

Mjnels, that explains why I am not interested in being a reseller.

Simple, sell to end-users or develope, only sell to reseller if plans are dropped for a domain or portfolio!

Italian Overture for 'Roma' = 158,715

American Overture for 'New York State' = 33,228

Ah well, just different views.

All of those transactions were good ones imo (especially considering the buyer is not an end-user).
Congrats to the seller !

Congrat to the new owners. These are really good buys! I don't agree that Justin is the Poor Seller... he indeed earns more from quantity than many of us.
