I am looking for your feedback on what should be done to improve the forum....

Can be anything and I don't have to agree with your opinions but I will listen to them.

examples of things I am looking for:

- Dump all mods and replace with whoever.
- Dump a certain mod.
- Get this person as mod.
- Lift all bans and go to soccer system... yellow card one warning/red card second warning.
- Add this forum... whatever you think.
- add a impartial tribunal to deal with domain disputes
- suggest who should be the new admin here.
- what should we focus on here
- Is there another forum we should buy that is open to a buyout that all the users here would benefit from.

These are just examples.

whatever you think would make this place better, new features, new atitudes.... whatever u think!

If you feel uncomfortable posting, don't ! I won't take exception to anything and nobody will be banned for constructive advice.

If you still feel uncomfortable posting email me at [email protected]

Easy on the bans.. DCG.

Save bans for illegal activity.. members in overly heated discussions may need to restricted for posting for a day ..time to cool off but not banned.

Consider teaming up with another board that works on the webmastery skills. the more people with those skills ..the more names needed..imo

Let plat members be able to put an out of control mod on ice once in awhile

just some ideas.

Be a biased banner.

Ban people with less posts easier :)

Take more time on those with more posts.

Keep Yakov banned :)

Dont buy NP. (sorry RJ)

Offer more for DS.

Increase the value for DNF$ by startign ot sell them for more $.

Improve the DNF bank, i think its a great idea.

Please don't purchase np, way too many kids on that board plus coolhost wouldn't have anywhere to go.

I believe our mods are pretty good so no need to dump them, maybe add a couple more though to maybe relieve the current mods.

Raise the price on DNF$ through the bank, by make them 1 cent each you basically killed any chance a member had to sell them.

I like the idea of a death(ban) by commitee, this should work for bans and disputes of any type. These members could be randomly choosen when something happens to make it seem more fair.

I believe you do a good job as admin, I mean with you have thousands of members, it is impossible to make everyone happy. This is just a fact of life Adam and I think you do well by 99.99% of the forum members and if thats acceptable by webhost standards it should work here as well.

Change the memberships to 1 fee for lifetime platinum, not sure how many members will renew once their date comes up.

More to come as I think of them.

1) Advertise the memberships more on ebay

2) Make me an admin :-D

3) Bring back some of the banned members who didnt do illegal things (TimeChange, DrWho)

4) Keep Yakov banned

5) Put memberships at sale prices to drum up activity

I have more ideas, but Adam, it will cost you :cheeky:

Original Content is the answer... Bingo Nexus!

I was going to mention today that some of us "old-timers" should get back to creating some "original content". I will be the first to admit that I haven't been around as much. I've been heavily involved this summer with a entire home remodel (kitchen, deck, bathroom, ughhh!)....

With summer coming to an end in the US things should pick back up in the fall. One thing I've come to realize is that the online business cycles are just the opposite with the "brick and mortar" shops. People take a hiatus from the internet during the summer, I guess is the reason.

Put in VB hacks to:-

A) Disallow bumping in the Sales section i.e. no matter how many replies are posted, threads stay in the order their first posts were posted

B) Limit new threads to once every 24 hours, per registered member

AFAIK hacks exist for both of the above and they would make the Sales section much more approachable, as well as enforcing the existing rules more effectively than relying on moderators since the 24-hour rule, for instance, would be 100% effective!

About the memberships, you could keep them at the same price for new members to join but half price for exisiting members to renew them?

Partner up with WHT or something, lots of designers there, they need domains, no?!

DNForum & WHT partnership would be awesome.

Half price membership renews.

A skin with less-dull colors (Please!), but not heavy on graphics.

A "Trade" forum.

Maybe reorder the forums. I know many people are used to it how it is, but I think it can be better structured. If you want to know what I think would be best, just ask.

Thats about it.

Wait... one more thing.. make me an admin. :p
