Amhitvl,

We can write you a script that will do unlimited LIVE checks for expired domain names at a rate of 1 domain/sec. The domain list
can be pulled from a text file.

If a name becomes available the script will order it. The info will be pulled from the registry so it will be LIVE and not some outdated whois check.

The script however will not be cheap.

e-mail: [email protected] if you would like to
learn more about this.

Thanks,
Luc L. ;)

Luc have you figured out how to code a rate limiter on that. I've gotten whacked at a registrar for using too much bandwidth at times.

Especially when I had the 8/sec one running and took a server down:D

Gmartfin,

Sorry about the delay. Depending on which registrar you're
using to query the registry you might have to implement a
delay.

We haven't really had any problems so far (no servers
down) but ehh, you never know.

The sleep command mentioned by my aggressive
friend Drewbert will definitely work if you're scripts are
written in Perl.

Sleep (1);

Will cause the script to pause for 1 second. Obviously you
might have to adjust this to meet whatever requirements you
have.

If it doesn't work, find a different registrar ;)

Hope this helps,
Luc L.

well you can do in php as well, just call it as a shell cmd and do 'sleep 1' and it will work :)

Thanks
