G'day!
This was sent round in an email yesterday/today, but in case anyone missed it...
Just letting everyone know that the TRAFFIC Down Under conference is just under a month away. With the weak Australian dollar, it is very attractive for International guests to attend, given the fact that in the last three months the AUD has dropped from US$0.95 to US$0.60. So beers are cheaper, meaning you can drink more!
To give you an idea, three months ago accommodation at The Sheraton Hotel would have cost you approximately US$250 per night, now with the weaker Australian dollar, it's as little as US$150. A "3 Park Super Pass" (entry to Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild and Warner Brothers Movie World over 5 days) would have cost you US$178, now it's as cheap as US$112. Or more importantly, a standard beer (US$4.75) would now only cost US$3.00!
With an agenda filled with high quality speakers and topics, along with an Entertainment Agenda that includes Paintball, Zorbing, an Island Beach party and more, there's no better time than now to visit beautiful Australia! It's also heading into summer, so it's a good way to escape the northern hemisphere winter blues.
If you are serious about attending, I would advise that you start organizing your trip now as all International attendees will need a valid passport and valid visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter Australia.
Visas are available from Australian visa offices, such as Australian embassies, high commissions and consulates. They are also available electronically, over the Internet. Some travel agents and airlines may also be able to assist you with visas.
If you visit the Australian Government's Electronic Travel Authority site, you can check your eligibility for an online ETA. A service charge of $20 AUD applies for online applications. If you are not eligible for an online ETA you will need to apply for a Business (Short Stay) visa (subclass 456) - which could take 2-3 weeks to process.
Don't miss what is going to be the must attend conference of the year and a fantastic opportunity to travel to Australia. REGISTER NOW for your TRAFFIC Down Under ticket.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
Look forward to seeing you out here next month.
Cheers,
Mike
