The Moniker domain auction at Traffic got a decent short write up in this weekend's Globe and Mail newspaper (Canada's national paper) in the Business section. It mainly focused on Wallstreet.com not selling, listed some other names that did sell for high prices, and had some business analyst discussion about domains. Funny to see 'Moniker' and 'Monte Cahn' being mentioned in a major publication like this, but just shows the domain industry continues to make headlines.

Most people do wait until the last few hours but Silent sells very little. I've never gotten my hopes up over Silent and would discourage anyone from getting excited over it.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. Keep em coming. Thanks for the reminder to keep our hopes in check regarding the Silent Auction. But for those of us with domains in the auction we can't help but wish there was more info out there about what type of interest our domains are getting.

If you have previously bid in the Traffic Silent auction or attended traffic the $499.00 fee is waived. You can use the same username and password as you has used in the past silent auctions.

If you have not participated in any previous Moniker Silent Auction the $499.00 fee will be applied to any of the names you win.

I still scratch my head each and every time I see domains that would attract hurling fruit when presented for sale on these public forums getting bids and sales in the Live and Silent auctions when absolute JEMS don't get picked at all to be presented and even when they do, they don't get bids.
