I guess a key factor in it's impact will be whether it was bought by another speculator or an end-user. The latter would do no harm to the .info world. The former, while it still proves people will pay that sort of money for a .info, doesn't have the same impact.
Also we should bear in mind that the travel market is among the four most popular "affiliate" markets online and short high OVT keyword domains, for now, in those sectors will be sought after.
I still think too many people over-inflate the potential of .info or simply don't understand SEO - do a Google search on ANY half-decent keyword or phrase and you'll have to go a long long way to find any .info domains in the top 10 unless you go down to really small niche phrases.
But hey, the search engine landscape is changing all the time so who knows - that's what speculation is all about eh
