Thanks!

Well, it appears as if enom has jacked the registration rates up...

Its a system wide price increase. Godaddy.com has $44.99 LOL!!! My rep says godaddy was the first to raise rates (go figure) and that every single place on the net will be increasing. Not only that I was informed by another member that .coms will be rising in price as well! Damn :veryangry:

One other thing, I love .TV, the newsletter is only the tip of the iceberg. You will see the re-release of premiums spark alot of interest in this extension. I already have 100 .tv names and I have sold almost 10 in the last month. They are flying off the shelf with offer after offer. Almost every day and a half I get an offer. Once demand media starts throwing money and advertisiing at it, .TV will reach all new heights.

Hi All,

Now that I have looked around alittle, this was announced back in Dec.2006. So Enom and Demand Media have been working on this since then. Look at the bottom of this thread for related threads dating back to 2002. Even the Duke weighed in.

How things have changed!

My personal Opinion. TV will take off. Thanks to youtube and myspace. Have you heard of TheSecret.TV?

It's one of the hottest dvds and books around. Alot of exposure for .tv.

I think .com - computer - internet (I know it means company)
.mobi - cell phone
.tv - tv - video (forget that it is from a small island)

Just my thoughts,

JC

P.S. I am not sure of the latest pricing at Enom for .tv but I think 49.95 is for a 2 year registration.

Hi All,

I'm surprised that more aren't talking here about the new push for .tv.

Anyone have a site with .tv? People at Enom/Demand Media are looking for sites to help promote .tv.

No comments after Dnjournal's coverstory for April?

If it's being discussed elsewhere here please point me in that direction.

looks like you have to have your .tv domain registered at enom.tv to get the free tools. this might make some people transfer their names to there.

True,

I've heard pros and cons. I understand they are still working on the free tools.

So, What's your vision for the new release of .TV?

the tools offered by demand media is just a start- they will improve those tools, as well as you seeing other companies starting to provide tols also to not let dm have all the fun :)
there was just this week a nice .tv sale: $21,500.00- will be in dnjournal i believe-

Hi,

De.tv - $21,500 as reported on dnj. Great Sale!

Regged a couple more this morning.

What do you think of Comico.tv? funny - amusing in Spanish?

Plural already taken.

I think Comico is a good spanish reg, makes sense for a .tv comedy site.

Thanks for the reply Hugegrowth!
Just my thoughts but don't you think Demand Media -Enom really should do their own .tv spot on TV to promote themselves? What are they waiting for? It hasn't hurt the "other guy".

I think .tv is really going to take off.

When the myspace people/users start developing their own channels...there will be over a million sites up IMO...and that is just the beginning.

Have you tried to get a decent MySpace name? It's not easy, but .tv will be harder.

I have always been a fan of .tv and investing in it heavily at one time. I since have unloaded some heavy weight. I think .tv will succeed and with big money backers it's sure to now gain some attention in the media. In addition, if you haven't noticed tnt.tv is advertising their new tnt.tv domain over the .com on their tv station. Nba.tv is doing the same thing. I'm a believer, for me it's when not if this all does well. .tv is posed to be a playa! Check out my me.tv channel.

I agree! I have going on 47 .tvs right now. Letting some of my dud .coms go.

Nice site, by the way.

So who is investing in .tv? What do you have?
