That is just a reflection of the reseller market which according to all of those last months sales is yet to realize the true value of .us

I sincerely believe that at some point, .us will pick up...I see no reason why American companies wouldnt go for a .us...The main issue is that many webmasters believe that the extension cannot "rank" well. A site with good content and backlink strcuture and a decent advertising budget will rank irrespective of extensions...

To be absolutely honest, I think design, layout and customer service...a noted postal address on the Contact page (if any), a 1800 number thats actually functional seem to be the major factors when it comes to web credibility and gaining surfers' trust.

For businesses, I can actually name a few businesses that uses .us for their sites. And believe me, these are not just small home-based businesses:

Eg: aldi.us, bodicology.us (marketed in their products even though it redirects to .com) uwex.us...

I will make this simpler. Enter this query on Google: site:*.us and have a look at the number of sites in the result returned!(...) It all started with major American companies using .com as their domain...Then the small and medium scale businesses (non- web related) almost always go for "consulting" prior to developing websites...and thats where things go wrong. More than most of web development/marketing consultants advise .com...

However, I am a consultant myself and you'd be surprised that the trend is changing. There are business owners going for .us! As far as resale value goes, I do agree than most domainers tend to stay away from .us...except for some. As far as "average person walking around never heard of "part", the average person never heard of .co either...he probably never will in 5 years...an average person never heard of anything other than .net and .org...and even that(?)

I am buying and selling .US, and have been for the last 2+ years. There is a whole world of end users out there for domains other than just the top tier .COM that are out of the price range of 99% of buyers.

It just depends on the keyword. As a reseller I am going to go after terms as cheap as possible as I would in any extension.
There would be no set %. Some types of domains, like GEOs, are better fits in .US than other types.

I would have no problem paying Mid $X,XXX - Low $XX,XXX even as a reseller for true top tier keywords.

If you know how to find end users .US is a good play as far as ROI goes at every level. It is not hard to buy a good keyword .US for $150 - $300 and sell it for $1500+

After all, all of the good dotcoms are gone, so you might as well use a .biz for your business.

.com may be king, but I would not compare .biz with .us. .US is patriotic sounding and the United States' ccTLD. It may not have taken off yet but that doesn't mean it won't. .biz is unprofessional and has become synonymous with scammy websites or websites run by kids out of their parent's house.

I have about 75 premium .us names. Any advise on how to sell these to "end users"? I have been having touble selling them on here in the forum and sedo. No real bites yet. The only one was borrowmoney.us but I wanted more than $150 for it.
