While there is no definite percentage, domains with hyphens, especially .com can be valuable to end users and great for development.

Some domainers especially are dismissive of domains with hyphens. I have had some good sales for hypenated domains.

For example: If I have a hypenated .com domain that would be worth up to 7 figures non-hyphenated, what could I expect reseller and end user pricing?

I already have an idea of the value of some hyphenated domains, but there are a lot of different opinions on this topic.

thanks

One HUGE question - where is the hyphen?

keyword1-keyword2.com is a nice one.
key-word.com is eh
keywo-rd.com IMO doesn't have much value
k-e-y-w-o-r-d.com is reg fee, at best.

Assuming no TM issues, that is. :)

there is no formula or percentage to calculate, each name stands on it's own and it's up to you to set the price.

now on the other hand...

it seems like an attempt to stir up interest in your spam list of hyphenated names you've been pushing.

so i went back and viewed your postings and found that you are in violation, regarding posting the same domains for sale within a "seven day" period.

expect a few of your threads to be closed.

This is a legitimate thread.

Spam list?

I posted names a portfolio of domains in sales thread and added the domains to the Geo domains portfolio list as well.

I wont comment further as this the message should have been sent by private message in the first place.

I am referring to two-word Keyword domains with a hyphen. Seems there is no consensus on value. I am seeing very random sales figures for hyphenated domains.

Also I think the value of a .com hyphenated domain can be compared to the net/org/info counterpart.

I've learned that when it comes to end-users...any domain, hyphenated or not, can be valuable.

I have few hyphenated domains, and I think they have good value because on internet there are some hyphyenated web sites which generate great traffic, provided you have good content.

SIDs - when we talk about domains, we talk about names only and not the content.

Even a s#$% name can be worth with a good content and then it does not remain the name but a website

TwoSteps- Yes, I agree. No matter how much we discuss about this old wine, the fact is , end user decides,! even a worthless domain for us might be a gem for them. I just learned this when an old , lost in my collection box lying idle was bought by an end user at a price never expected of!

thevirtual - you cannot compare a dog with a lion. a lion will be a lion no matter how the health of the lion is! .com no matter what quality cannot be comapred with other tlds. hyphen domains are considered bad only by domainers. a two word name with sace in between can easily be replaced by hyphen, only concern is not to abuse a nhyphen
