Yes. There are many advantages to be with Godaddy: Bigger market place: Dan, Afternic, Godaddy and other registrars too.
Cheap is not always good.

Regarding the .com register fees, please find the details below:


1. Singapore IP Registration:

If the account was registered using a Singapore IP, a 9% GST will be charged, making the final price $12.88.

2. Payment via PayPal:

A 3.7% processing fee + $0.30 will be applied. The calculation for the trade fee is as follows:
Trade Fee = Order Amount * 3.7% + $0.30
the final price includes the 9% GST and the PayPal processing fee.

3. Non-Singapore IP Registration (PayPal Checkout):

If your account is not registered with a Singapore IP, and you are using PayPal to check out, the price would be $11.82 * 3.7% + $0.30, totaling $12.56.

A hint for the members who have hundreds or thousands of domains at godaddy.

I cancelled my discount club renewal and unlocked some of my domains. Within a few days I got a call from my account rep and he gave me discount club for free for the next 3 years.

If you have a rapport with your rep, he has the ability to give that service away to domainers with larger portfolios.

That is a nice tip Well done! I know that many experienced ecommerce specialists to similar things (in their case, they do this on purpose) to receive emails with 40-60% discount offers, but never knew GoDaddy are prepared to fight for their users like this as well. Great for them! Huge respect towards this company!

I was about to mention mention them . Spaceship is owned by namecheap. Very elaborate backend. Not the best to manage a lot of domains (bit much/overwhelming) but definitely a trustworthy one.

And don't forget about Cloudflare.
