A client of my colleague registered a .ae domain through Instra.com This was a 4 char acronym and not trade marked in UAE and not being used for anything but awaiting completion of their website. Instra then wrote and said that they had suspended the domain because it breached the terms and conditions . He asked who had complained and Instra declined to provide ANY i9nformation at all. They simply sent him a copy of the AEDA terms & conditions and asked him to reply but gave no complaint at all to reply to ,simply to confirm compliance, which he did. He again asked Instra to provide copy of the complaint or even copy of AEDA email. They simply dont answer. They , Instra, then wrote to him and said that "we have discussed this with AEDA and the domain is cancelled" . Again he asked for copy of any email from AEDA but Instra simply have not replied. He asked for basis for the decision and received nothing at all, not even an acknowledgment. This has happened before apparently also.
So be WARNED, do not even bother registering .ae domains through Instra (or even maybe others ) because they are not worth 1 cent and Instra will simply take your money and then suspend the domains when they feel like it and will not bother telling youy anything . Is that good business practice of Instra ?.
