How did he hijack the domain, it seems quite perplexing?

Checking whois.sc only email is [email protected]. Meta3.com was registered way back in 2006, and is alive and well...

Exactly who I called, however a company name change has occured possibly, we'll see tomorrow. The name change is here nor there any ways, the last admin contact is who I will speak with.

It has been established since mid 2006 as a parking page after Meta3, the company that owned was.net closed and let meta3.com.
A large domaining company bought the name until a few days ago when Grant Huo purchased it from them. He knew this domain was associated with the admin contact of was.net, setup an email account and accessed the account. He then transferred the name away from netsol to Godaddy...

This is the point at which I get out, and leave this to Godaddy/Netsol to sort out. I am curious as to if Grant realised he was busted and sold the name to Data Return??

I am extremely curious as to what THELJP's findings are. I would investigate but I am not in the US.

Ok, just spoke with the former admin contact and here is the story quoted directly from their email reply after our phone conversation.

The company that had was.net registered before meta3 bought them is who put their personal email. So the former admin didn.t steal it... it most likely was hijacked and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

So a small correct needs to be made as you can see, it was the former company who is involved and not meta3.

Ok, just spoke with the former admin contact and here is the story...

Domain was aquired when they bought out a smaller company along with other names...
The company has had the named renewed and taken by a former employee and or the buy out's employee because that employee used a personal email as admin contact all along, never having given it to the current rightful owners...
They do plan to presue the return of the name and are contacting the appropriate persons.

So yes it was stolen, it was an inside job however by a former employee. As for resale since renewal they obviously have no idea if such has occured.

Thanks for the info TheLJP. Helps to reiterate my point, I don't just post accusing someone of stealing a name if concrete evidence is not at hand.

As for the back and forth, admittedly I am agrevating a response. I will stop now because this matter is a serious one.
