What a Week! 1 Person Spends 550K to Land 8 of Top 10 Domains on New DNJournal Chart

The summer doldrums may have hit the PPC business but the return of warm weather and longer days has obviously had no impact on domain buyers. We just saw the most amazing sales week we have seen since opening the doors at DNJournal.com. A single buyer shelled out over half a million dollars to take 8 of the top 10 domains on our latest weekly domain sales chart. There were also a record number of 5-figure sales, forcing us to double the length of our list to 20 domains - and there still wasn't enough room for all of the deals above 10K!

People were buying everything in sight, including ccTLD's from Germany, Austria, the UK, Italy and Sweden. There was even a DNJ record Cocos Islands (.cc) sale! The new extensions got into the act too with .biz leading the way for the third week in a row (this time with a sale just shy of the 5K mark). great news! thanks duke. glad chena is remaining active with those spanish domains, and as you indicated some good sales in misc. extensions. gtweb in the nineties, cc's were hot and often sold for thousands, although i never bought any or own any at present.
