It could mean any of several things.

Are you looking at the record of a registration, or of an application?

Was it a 1(a) application or a 1(b) application?

It doesn't necessarily mean that the underlying trademark is "dead" or was ever a trademark at all.

Without more information, there is no way to know what that indicator might or might not mean.

I changed my mind about the name that I wanted. But the site have not been online for more than 2 years. Looks like the company went under.
