What is happening to the contituents of the industry...
Out of every 5 transactions I complete there is at least 1 problem on the other end. Be it Sedo, afternic, or in this case 'ca11'

This user owns 991.org, and listed it on ebay. I won it. I paid 2 minutes after the auction end. A week later and I have not received my domain.

I have sent emails, and PMs here to no avail.

Now the user has not been on dnforum since the 2nd BUT If you list a domain on ebay, it is polite and proffessional to come on;ine, and complete the transaction!

What is my recourse here? Why should I have to wait?

What is more, the domain is listed on afternic bazaar for anyone to buy. In reality it is not his/hers to sell anymore, and should have been removed by now.

This really annoys me.

In business you cant set up easily. Perhaps domaining should have such a set-up process, whereby you have to complete a series of verifications, steps etc. Make the domaining business official, and more recognized whilst at the same time weeding out the pros from the tat..

I can give you my two cents on this....

ca11 is one of the most unprofessional domainers on this forum.
A shame management does nothing when he violates rules here on the forum.

What is this unprofessional behavior???? justin... are you ok? get my whois off right now!

And to the winner.... On ebay, I have never promised to send it to you in a day, two, three, but there is a rule that says that a transaction could be cancelled if the seller is not responding in 7 days... YOU ARE GOING NUTS because I have not responded.

I HAVE DONE NOTHING, AGAIN, NOTHING THAT IS WRONG YET. You have to yet complete one part of the bargain before transfer is completed, but I am not a low class domainer like investor who bids with 10 aliases and sells domains like drtooth for 150, and mocks people dropping names because theyre hospitalized. So I will not tell you on here, I will email you and please close this thread.

Its unprofessional from you to do this before the 7 day period, and ebay TOLD YOU so!!!!!! Now, you are getting on my nerves with this unprofessional display of childish complaining. And I assume it is because you got the god given deal of 100$ for a 600$ domain name. So if this is not taken out in 12 hours, and you do not complete the part of the bargain of the domain name and apologize, I will back off the deal. This is ridiculous!!! WAIT 7 days, people have busy lives not unlimited time for complaining.

theinvestor,

its a shame the management doesnt do anything about your many nicknames. Its a shame pool hasnt realized your shillbidding...

If you have a problem, a personal one, I suggest you solve it like a man, you know my whois, instead of bad mouthing me at every occasion you get...show your supermanly powers to save domainers

And a correction...the winner, you bought it on sunday!!! how is it a week today???????

And to the people on this post.... What in the world does an ebay transaction has to do with dnforum??????????????? Grow up!

The auction is here.

Since the buyer paid, why aren't you transferring it in a timely fashion? And curious about what part of the bargain you're referring to because I read no particular terms in the item's description.

this drop you speak about and are so proud comes at a cost of a remission. I do not care about your childish behavior. But you clearly have no moral compass to understand that sometimes money does not matter when health is involved.

It was on sale here too. Did you attempt to buy it less than how much it went for on tbr? So whos the idiot who spends fortunes on names I offer for 80?

Get a life.... And stop digging my grave to get my names.... I'll send you right now 4 number .ca's ....give me your info to transfer...its on me, kid. And one lll to boot as well. I promise...Just lay off despicable behavior without knowing causes of drops. DEATH you mentioned so happily in one post...

Again the offer is open to you investor...all yours, enjoy profit over humanity

Explain timely fashion? Ebay explains it as 1 week. It ended on sunday. What business it this to you anyway?

You have to look at this in the buyers veiw too ca11. Lets say you paid me $500 for a domain you won, and I never emailed, transfered, or just disappeared for 4 days and you still didn't have the name. Wouldn't you be concerned and a little pissed off too? I know I would...

I would... but would I attempt to smear him through claims untrue like a week has passed (we all know ebay has a dispute policy triggered on the 7th day only), and we all can be busy, sick, you name it. I agree that not emailing back in 3 days is a start point to worry, but can the buyer not attempt a smearing campaign till it is clear I have not gone on with the deal???

And you say "concerned and pissed off". No need for concern. Paypal has a protection policy. Pissed off?? Sure! The buyer bought a name I purchased for 600 for 100, and in turn made a businessman/woman as they claim to be, to turn into a child not believing an xbox is worth $10 and fighting the store owner for waiting in line!!!! It is the emotion that made this buyer do this uncalled for , and never DNF's business, charade. So excuse me if I am pissed off myself at this unwarranted "guys pls help me get the name off this guy by force" type of posts.

WAIT 7 days then start smearing, is my point.... not 3-4!!!!!!!!

ca11,
I whole heartedly apologize: I was completely unaware of any health problems you may be having.

I said a week, because I was not aware of the exact length of time, I just knew it had been a good while. Ebay has a 7 day policy for a complaint, but that is not a 'take 7 days' suggestion.

As stated in my original post, why should I have to wait. Eveyone else completes deals promptly..

For now I will not close this thread, there is no reason too. It would seem you have had bad transactions with others in the past. What is more a statement in your email worries me: "I will wait to get a confirmation of your hosting registration under my link before proceeding otherwise we would deem the sale void."

Actually, no we wont. I do not want hosting . In no way did your auction state it was a requirement, so dont try and weave your way out of a transaction.

You state 7 days is the delivery period, no it is not unless your directly specify in your auction (which you did not). That is the official complaint date. The delivery period os 24 hours max!

In the PM I received: "Here is the url to the ixwebhosting deal that is part and parcel of the domain name package...

http://www.ixwebhosting.com/template...cgi?id=alloosh"

Ahahahha, stop wasting my time, and give me my domain or I will get really angry.

Yes, this is not a specific DNForum matter, but we wont integral businesspeople here, and I am sure the mods wont hesitate to close your account if you do not promptly provide the auth code, and unlock the domain.

Im sorry it has had to come to this, but it is your own fault.

can you please take this out of dnforum or i will simply not deliver?
you are using big words.,..only prolem i have with is theinvestor and thats cause he loves to pry on my domains when im sick...
otherwise ill solve it with you on email or simply wont deliver if you think that you can win domains by muscling me on forums.... its that simple...

your choice.... i am annoyed at how you took this online in 3 days.... and you defined promptly your own way... and my auction states (free 80$ refund on hosting) and says that thats part of the sale.... so take this off.... or i will think of it as a way to muscle your way into delivery . I have no moral dilemma not deliverying if this is your way of reconciling.... This is not the place to discuss specifics...and if your area of expertise is ruining my reputation then consider this totally void....and complain all you want.

The other choice, is civil, I always intended to deliver... and if you dont act civil, I will have to decline and give this as evidence of my "unwillingness to cooperate, when i was very willing and capable"

This type of attitude defines one's business quotient.

Best of luck.

You have no idea of the details of this transaction and its effects on my reputation on this board. So my question was perfectly legitimate, and I will ask again, what business is this to you anyway???

Thanks

I can only go by what's on the eBay description and I see nothing that requires the buyer to pay for web hosting in order to get the domain. If you're trying to squeeze in any such post-auction terms then what can I say, get ready to face the music from eBay.

About the "what business" part you keep re-iterating, this is DNForum and here's a thread discussing the particular sale. I didn't know I needed your permission in order to post

As for the cry-baby comment that you sold a domain worth $600 for $102, next time put a reserve.

I have no problems, and it was no baby cry, I will give it to him for 100, but he has to stop using bully tactics or I simply will stop dealing with him. Please, read better next time. It wasnt a problem of price, in fact, I gave theinvestor two domains to be civil and dont get personal on dnf....MY point is this whole thing is not dnf's business, its an ebay issue, and if the buyer is not willing to stop this, and hes onlyd oing it because I happen to be a member, then bullying will have an opposite side effect. Simple.

Now you're talking :) I understand you're upset that the situation has gotten out of hand but hey, all it takes is to wrap up the exchange as you've already been paid. I did not judge you overall, just saying this ebay transaction can haunt you outside of ebay because the domainer community is tightly knit. Again, best of luck in resolving this.

And I have nothing against you, but my point was you guys are inflaming this instead of complaining that it should not be dealt with here. Rightly so, the community is tightly knit, and we need each other, but when slander takes on, and outright lies (like his, a week has passed) when it was 3 days, and theres no definition for promptly. Is there a prompt recovery from illness ??

Bro, my point is, discourage this type of slander, by complaining against it, I will deal with him on ebay and suffer any consequences, but doing so here is simply bullying and muddying my reputation. If I had a simple issue to discuss I do not need 10 people to fight me without the issues and policies of ebay at work. I need to have to face him and him only... Sadly I have to defend against misconceptions with many of you guys .

Thanks again for the luck in dealing with this but like I told you if he's willing to mud sling, I will take the hit, and offer it here for free. I promise you.
