Hi guys, had an interesting (amusing?) email conversation with an alleged starter of greatdomains and VP / 45% owner of Enom, neither of which I could validate. Guy's name is Timothy Solomon if anyone cares to know.

I cold emailed him based on a reference from a DNF member about selling one of my premium domains.

He said:

- "algorithm has changed now. If I were you I would try to sell all of your names as fast as you can before people find out they are worthless. Google is going IP address in about 4 months, meaning that all of the results will be IP related, so domain names will be worthless. Why do you think people are selling off chunks?"

- sold {a nice domain}.com for $1200, of which he bought for $50k two years ago, and was making $4k/month on adsense. That makes total sense.

- "my friends at Google tell me the change is anyday now, and it will hit nationally first. No one knows about this except about 45 people in Seattle and 35 at Google. Since we own all of the domain names, we are selling them off in chunks as fast as possible before the change.

It's sad really, a great season is over. I made allot of money with names.

If someone offers you 500-1000 for that name take it. After October 1st, you won't get a dime for it."

So, what do you think?

I completely agree. Domains are worthless now.

P.S. Pm me your portfolio, I'll help you liquidate before it's too late.

He's right. In fact, if you take the blue pill and jack into the Matrix you won't be needing a browser either. Neo knows!

Namely its something none of you are supposed to know about, but since some noob posted it here let me say that maybe its time to dump all of your names asap. Also, its unwise to quote someone's private email to you and list domain sales they have had, that could get you into trouble.

OK then use the IP Address to market your business, let's see how it goes.

Another misdirected propaganda...

This I don't get it at all.
To make $4k/month on adsense, it will need tons of traffic.
Granted that much of that traffics are from Google, but, still, many would be direct typein with domain name like that.
Even if Google algo change does happen, LLLLLL.com still CAN make $1,200 rather quickly.
Typein traffic alone would be worth much more than $1,200.
So, why sell at $1,200 if that did really happen :?:

I can't remember where I read it, but, someone mentioned that Google will change algorithm again and
exact keyword match domain will be less important than before.

Stop drinking the fricking kool-aid everyone, the Margarita's are way better....with Patron. splash of OJ & the Grand Marnier floater of course!

First of all, GOOGLE does not decide what makes the Internet operate and even if they "switched to IP addresses" the only people that would affect would be them going out of business before you could click the search button.

All domains ultimately are just representations of an underlying IP to begin with, and if you have type-in traffic names then the value of those would just skyrocket even more so. Search traffic comes and goes, type-ins are permanent, well generics at least are.

I love how VPs disclose super secrets to strangers via email and how people pass them around without validating things.

However, I just want you all to know that I am the servant of dearly departed King Googlies of a remote village who has left behind $500billion dollars in precious metals and gems. Should any of you happen to be a family relative, please send me a PM as I need assistance moving this to a safe location in the US.

Can I use this stuff on DomainGang? I won't be able to use the "100%" seal though as it's not real. :D
