I recently acquired the domain [n/a] as I really like it. I'm ready to start something new and was wondering what I can do with this domain. Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks!

nothing, its useless and worthless - why even spend money on a nu? You could have spend the same amount you spend on this junk extension and purchased yourself a .com!

You might think so but nu actually means now in several European languages. .nu happens to be the third most popular extension in Sweden after .se and .com

Please don't fool yourself - SOLD? who in the world would want to type SOLD.NU?????????????????? Who cares what it means, the fact remains you have invested in a domain that has $0 return on investment, cause I can register SOLD.xx right now for reg fee.

Your domain is worth nill and I recommend you don't spend anymore money on developing it or renewing it.

Is "sold" a word in Sweden - or is English spoken that often in Sweden (it sounds like you bought this domain with that target audience in mind?).

IMO mixing languages with other ccTLDs is not a good idea. I see people registering domains like HomeOwnersInsurance.de and just have to wonder what were they thinking? Not many English speaking people would type that and I don't think many Germans would either.

Another question is - what would you use it for in development? Someone selling something that they want to sell quickly (sold now?)?

I'd hate to say it but this one, even with development, is going to be a hard one to get off the ground without some serious investments (time and money) up front and still may not pay out well. I hope you didn't pay a lot of the domain (but we all make that mistake).

I didn't even know that ccTLD existed - it's for a very small island in the south Pacific (British colony, maybe?) with fewer than 1500 people on it. Luckily, English is one of their official languages (along with a tribal / indigenous language).

.nu has been a great income for the island of Niue. The majority of .nu domains are actually registered in northern European countries where the ccTLD has cleverly been used (just like .me and .tv) for the meaning of "now". The people in those countries are also fluent in English (2nd language).....so it would read out "sold now".

For the doubters of using ccTLDs: I already have a blog under a domain that is an English dictionary word used with a ccTLD and it has shown great growth and checking the stats the majority of the visitors come from the US. Also, it depends on the word.....you can't compare the word sold to HomeOwnersInsurance.
