O.K got this offer of £500 GBP on sedo and it's there final offer after they started at £60GBP.........the domain in question is:

fancydress,net

The .com and .co.uk is both taken buy a british company,i'm not sure what to do because although i'm not into .net at all i bought this because i thought it fitted the extension sweet and because of the other major tld's are taken by this company it might be that more valuable ?

I'm not desperate for the cash but it's not a bad offer but i thought i might get low x,xxx for this domain to be honest.......so what do you think ?

Thanks !

In this circumstance the first thing I do is look how
many hits the domain is getting. If NOT a lot then I
think "are the .com or .co.uk going to buy my .net"
and perhaps even email and ask them. IF they do not
want to buy it for £1k then I would take the offer and
run. I basically try and think all angles and then
decide. If domain is getting 1000 hits a day and
is making money then keep it. If it is getting 10
and making 10p a day then sell.

Also, if you do not need the money for say 2 years,
and that is maybe how long before next offer, then
you can take chance and refuse to sell at £500.
If however you know some domains you can buy with
£500 and make more profit then sell.

Can you buy a better name with that £500? If you can, sell - if you can't, don't.

I could see fancydress, net going for 4 figures like you said, so unless that £500 is going to move your business on, I'd hold.

I'd tell them that YOUR final price is £xxxx - take it or leave it.

Let me add my own question to this thread if I may ,rather than make
a similar thread. I have been offered £4,000 sterling for Airline Ticket (couk)
In normal times I would hold on, but these are not normal time. £4k = say $6k dollars.
Would you sell or keep ?.

Great domain, unless you are going to develop it I would sell,it's a good price especially as it's the singular, now if it were the plural it would be a different matter i would say 10K + although i know you don't need the money either way ;-) DG
