Only his boyfriend thinks so. ;)

Back to the topic at hand, I think the lists I see say more about a persons age than anything. It's funny how the thirtysomethings all listed the same movies. Likewise, the teenagers have many similarities in their lists.

Looks to be a great experiment in demographic marketing. Very useful.
LOL!! hehe

anyways, what you said is true (THE AGE PART, nothing else). Pretty interesting

may I ask how you guys liked that movie?

It was the most bizar and wierd and stupid movie I have seen. Honestly, if I hade to rate the top 3 worst moveis I have seen, that would be one of them. (i am not exagerating)

Funny thing is, some people I know like that movie too!!!

Can you please explain (besides the actors[to some]) what is apealing about it? I am serious here.

Oh yeah ... almost left out Wong Kar-wai, the best director from Hong Kong. Forget about John Woo ... Who's Jackie Chan? LOL! :D  Of course, not all his film are classics (unlike Akira Kurosawa), Fallen Angel, for example, is a bit shallow and commercial-oriented.

Princess Bride Don't even have to see it, just read the script:D http://www.godamongdirectors.com/scripts/princess.shtml

The Long Kiss Goodnight: Gina Davis/Samuel L. Jackson, awsome flick!

From Dusk 'till Dawn Starts out as a great Rodriguez/Tarantinoesq film then turns very very weird but the Salma Hayek seen makes it worth a long look

Jackie Brown Tarantino resurects Pam Grier's carrer. Samuel L. at his best.

Watership Down ;)

I was hooked when I first saw it way back in the early eighties.

I was lucky to get www.WatershipDown.net a few weeks back at NW :D

What would make this survey more interesting though, would be reasons WHY you chose the particular movie(s).

I'm sure if people were brutally honest, their list of movies they saw "because someone I fancied was in it" would be greater than the list of movies seen for all other reasons ;)

"Powder" (1995) - late addition to my original list

Looking at the others, I definitely forgot about "Close Encounters". That movie came out when there were a lot of "UFO" sitings in the area I lived (Northern Minnesota)-- I still can remember that part when the scientist was communicating with the ship: Ahh, eh...oooo, Ahhh. Eh...

Also, I liked the Patriot with Mel Gibson...

Best Kids Movie (when I was a kid): Wizard of Oz

Funniest movie category would be (without a doubt): Young Frankenstein

Best "Chick Flick" (that I'll admit to liking): A Walk in the Clouds with Keanu Reeves. I liked Anthony Quinns part in the movie.

btw: I say this thread turns into a web forum for movies... ;)

I agree on From Dusk Till Dawn. I thought I was hallucinating for a second and had to stop watching it when the movie suddenly turns into something else.

The Matrix
Terminator

Another favorite. Had the right mix of action, adventure.

The fifth element. (Just have to watch that movie everytime it's on tv.)
