Thoughts? Anyone got a finger on the pulse here? So many times I get the option for a .biz or .us when the .com is gone -- dilemma

by both :)

.us obviously is for the loca us market. Well, not necessarily, but is generally accpeted for now as local.
although .biz was designed to be more international. and is a gTLD, I beieve it is used much more often is the US than abroad, although it seems to be rising in countries that use English as their primary language.

I would go for both, but if you have to go for 1, use this rule:

If its business related, go for .biz, otherwise, .us

.BIZ of course. It's a gTLD. .US is a ccTLD. A gTLD is more versatile and its market relevance and resale potential much bigger than a ccTLD. :-D

To me .us is better than .biz for future investment.

I have never registered a .biz name.

In Japan they will use .jp
In China they will use .cn
In germany they use .de
In Canda they use .ca

Yes, it's probably a subjective issue. Maybe best to just take both. I'd like to see some registration stats...

us is basically for US whereas biz can be used anywhere so subjective to your location for the most part.

.us for U.S. company/site
.biz for international company/site
ccTLD of the country you do business in if not an international co or site
