What the.???....lol

Apparently some folks agreed that I was to hold some domains, and I was somehow left out of the loop on this agreement.

Oh, oversight. What John eventually explained does happen, after all.

Good to know it's been solved. Sure drove folks into suspense here. :D

I'm still wondering how you found out, maybe someone wants me to hold their valuables :).

Ok, I'll ask since no one else will. This is up and beyond the moral issue, but the legal issue. What if you moved the domains elsewhere (IE- sold them), you didn't steal them. The who-is was correct. The owner made a voluntary ownership change, the owner has no documentation saying you would "escrow" the names or have any agreement with you. The "stolen" arguement would not fly since it was not stolen, it was freely and legally given away. Just wondering... I thirst knowledge.

If the other party said that the domains were stolen what would he present as evidence?
A contract? No. A credit card charge? No. Something??? No.
Not even an email!

The registrar keeps track of account "pushes". The difference being, an account with John's info was created.

yes, but if the owner created the account (IPs are logged), and if the owner voluntarily pushed the domain... that is what I am asking.

Well, then hypothetically the old owner would be FUNKED! At some point in life you have to trust SOMEONE. Who better than J Berryhill for domain issues? ;)

Of course, good communication is KEY! The fact that John came and posted this here after somehow finding these domains were in his name is only further testament to his integrity & business ethics!
