To answer the Question of who is UltSearch.com.(for the newbies)
His name is Yun Ye.

He started grabbing names sometime in 1998 as far as I can see.

Used to live in California and moved to Hong Kong where they
speak his native language of Chinese.

To quote an Ex search traffic partner " Yun Ye's checks are so
big that if you saw them your eyes would pop out and bleed"

He probably has somewhere in the neighborhood of 100k Domains.

I don't know of anyone with more.

All search money.

Biggest names I saw him miss in the past when we all chased:

Virus.com

Promotion.com

Venture.com

Ah, those were the days....

dodgeviper,

That’s interesting to me because he is major player and so few details and circumstances surrounding his domain sales are known. I've often heard of potential buyer's (substantial) offers going unanswered. If you don't mind, could you provide any more details such as how the transaction took place - such as via escrow.com. And did it appear that you were dealing directly with him in your correspondence or an agent.

Thanks,

Eric

I have thought about doing this multiple PPC Search engine thing. Once you have the script, setting these engines up is very easy. You could actually make them look all the same if you liked which would really save alot of time. I had one site setup with SearchFeed.com's Affiliate program. I was making 50% of bid price. I had it up and running for about 3 months and the profit was continually building month by month. In all I made $60. Sure it aint much but its a start and who knows what might have happened if my Host didnt crash on me. It easily covered my reg cost and hosting fees.

The Domain isnt really important, its your content, tags and search engine placement that counts. I wasnt really placed to well within the engines so the profit can easilly be increased with better care and understanding.

I have another site as well with SearchFeed, but in this case I am not making much. The Domain costs have been recovered but thats about all. The problem with this site is that its being Hosted for free and I think the darn pop-ups are causing visitors to run for cover.

Perhaps I need that popupeater thingy :)

And he likes strong generic .org names: he scored baccarat.org yesterday.

Yun's very lucky I don't chase .org names these days, LOL

Or could it be that he moved there because of the much lower tax rates?
Maybe his company is listed there and he still lives in america?!

Big incentive.

It's also harder to sue someone there..

Hi Eric,

I'm not the owner of that site. Write to the webmaster if you're really interested, I'm sure he won't mind.

Also, doesn't it give him more strength on the issue of trademarks. US trademarks won't affect him?

That's because I knew nuffin.comâ„¢ Chairman Goh will turn it into a website, rather than Yun simply redirecting it to his search pages along with all his other names ;)
