whois.sc/domaintools.com

as you know they archive all whois info for all domains.

i'm not sure how legal this is and if it's possible to prevent them from archiving your info. (for example you can can prevent archive.org from storing your wesite copies)

anyone know anyhting about it?

I doubt there is.. Whois is publicly available. If someone wants to save it, they can (I assume). You would struggle to get it removed.. JMO

the problem is, they list the archieved info from way back when domain privacy didn't exist. and now that it does, whois.sc kind of makes it useless.

I know it is not ideal having your information archived, but why does it matter in your case? Im sure if you emailed them directly they might..

they are making money off of it, so I doubt they'd take down the archived info just because I asked nicely
