Since this is a business based forum, why many of the users are not using any Instant messengers like skype, msn, gtalk ot whatever ?

I think people are talking each other to develop theirselves, share their portfolios, do business across the overseas.

Do you guys are using any instant messenger ? What is the most chosen one that dnforum members are using ? Msn or yahoo ? or even icq ?

Thanks

When I'm on (which is rare) ICQ and AOLIM (though Trillian). MSN isn't supported by them.

I don't think you could really make that assumption based upon two posts. For me, Skype and MSN work best.

I don't really use either just because I don't currently need it for my business activities. If/when I do, though, I obviously would. It's just about my needs really.

There's nothing that phone calls and e-mails can't do. :)

I use Skype for international calls though (unless urgent) as it saves me a lot of money.

I haven't felt the need to IM. Also, a couple of times when strangers approached me and offered to discuss domain deals, they asked me to get on IM with them ... I had the feeling they were somehow hoping to scam me in an insecure environment.

Skype is my prefered choice of communication with people.

Especially when development is concerned, as you can receive files etc just like YIM, AIM and MSN, but also has the added bonus of free Skype-to-Skype calls, and much cheaper to call internationaly for a prolonged period of time.

As i see the dnforum is most active on sales threads. People even dont post to some thread even they are interested. People here are to sell/buy domains rather than discussing..

I would really believe that, if you have verified a member from a forum, that is not much problem to co-operate in IM .

email works fine. its instant... there are so many platforms that people use today i dont care to be involved in any of them... if you use yahoo, someone wants you to get MSN.. if you use MSN someone wants you to get AIM, etc, etc etc... email works the same..

thats actually my ebay username... its like an inside joke between me and myself. you guys are right though im gonna go download Yahoo, MSN, AIM, ICQ, Skype, sign up for MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter... then i will be the internet.

in the meantime, Pred... I asked for 5 packets of fire sauce and you gave me 4... this is unacceptable you dont deserve the $5.15 per hour that they pay you.

Nah, this "IRC" thing is where it's at nowadays. IRC and electronic mail, of course.

Skype | MSN | GTalk. MSN is for fun and friends, Skype | GTalk is for business.
