I think many DN Forum members are also NameWinner users. So there's a chance we are bidding among ourselves. If we have some consensus before bidding (who to bid which domain), we will need just a fraction of the money with same results. :D

Anybody interested to join and your comments please?

I'm curious. How would you work this?

My idea is like this...
1. Get a list of interested DN Forum members (say 10 members)
2. Each member to provide the domains he/she wants to bid on
3. Every week comes up a consolidated list of domains (e.g. total of 50 domains)
4. Allocate the domains randomly to the members, so each should get on average 5 domains. <-- This I think is the hardest part, so I'm looking for comments!!

Why concoct such a scheme when NameWinner sucks?

* It lost a domain a few weeks back with a $800+ bid to SnapNames!

* expirefish.com consistently beats the $25 bids!!

* It is often possible to beat NW by manually registering the domains!!!

Talk about awful...

I know NameWinner sucks, and everything else too... I just lost a name to BuyDomains with Snapnames and NameWinner on!!

My experience tells the bid amount is really not important in NameWinner. I've won 3 names in NW for $25-40 with a snap on. I'm just thinking if we're not bidding among us, you could probably save time rebidding for outbids and bid less than $800.

Any DNF members wish to join? Please post here or sent me a PM.;)
