Not really.

Just waiting for his reply, either pm or public.

Board moderators should monitor threads like this a little better I guess.

Knowing full well that he might have broke an escrow with two parties, you'd do a deal with him? You're now on my never-do-business-with list, and I'll tell others the same.

I have an escrow agreement with him right now, but I have a call in to Dana Wathen, the VP of escrow.com, and I can guarantee you that she will freeze any transaction with this name until it's sorted out. So if you're planning to do it with him, you'd better do it paypal or another method. Either way, you'll have a scarlet letter around your neck if you do.

Obviously, if he had an escrow.com agreement with glomedia and the seller simply ignored it because I offered a better price, I will defer to glomedia's transaction without question. However, if glomedia simply used the escrow transaction to stall for payment, that's another story.

Don't get upset .. just making a point here.

This is about the 5th time in a month that on a forum someone offers a domain/site but neglects to follow any rule and as a result the price goes sky high and people get upset.

I don't know if he accept escrow or not .. even if your funds are in escrow I am not sure if there is a deal or not.. There is also no response from seller so far.

Yesterday, it was with Verisign. Seller says he is Mason Woo's "brother". Mason Woo is listed in wayback as the owner until a year or two ago.

Plus, his escrow addy is [email protected], where whois is showing [email protected]. Strange.

Not looking good.

I didn't use the Escrow.com agreement to "stall for payment"

I made the Escrow.com payment immediately upon the sellers acceptance of the Escrow.com agreement terms on 7 September.

This guy is obviously a crook. He a agreed a deal with us and then went onto do multiple other deals with other parties. He simply can't do that. Think of all the admin for Escrow.com receiving all these payments and then having to refund them again.

He probably doesn't even own the name. I was slightly suspicious of the whois record in the first place but now I am very very suspicious of this character.

Any one that makes further Escrow.com payments with this guy after reading this thread must surely be mad.

Glo, wasn't suggesting you stalled on payment, just saying that it might be a possibility.

Just now talking to Dana Wathen of escrow.com. Will report back in a bit with update. In the meantime, consider it frozen where escrow.com is concerned. If Glo was first in line, and has sent payment, and name is legit (a big "if" at this point) then Glo wins.

Looks like a fraudulent deal along with the other two that surfaced, for HOH.com and YBO.com

For someone that registered in 2003 with DNF looks like a long time waiting to pull this off. DNF admins should be able to see if indeed this individual logs in from the UK or somewhere else.

Ok if this one does not top it off:
http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=53788

He was selling AOW.com - a domain owned by Elequa/FMA and we all know Elequa never sells.

You might say "he probably sold it to Elequa". Well not quite:

In this thread: http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=53187 10 days earlier he's selling both the .com & the .net AOW.com/AOW.net

I don't see how Elequa would miss out on this opportunity to buy them both. And I am sure Elequa would be willing to mention whether he bought AOW.com from Register or not.

Also: note that the WHOIS record for AOW.net says:

Apparently he has now decided to honour his agreement with Glomedia, though hasn't updated this thread or emailed me. Nice.

Niether has he answered any of the questions surrounding his auction(s).

He's listed as on the site now, but won't post. Hmmm.

That is usually the case, unless we happen upon a problem post unintentionally. We depend on you guys to hit that little "report" button when things start veering out of control. I will bring this one to the admins for followup.
