Would we benefit from a private appraisal section?

Dealing with a staffing company at the moment and they charge 20% of the positions first year salary for recruiting, it is normal 25%. so I feel its probably worth more than 5k as it is a healthy market.

Also, agree with an exclusive section for apprasials, give another added benifit to exlucisve membership and promotes discussion so thats a good thing

Ok, here's a real life scenario where this would help, I got an offer yeaterday on staffed.com through Sedo. I own the domain and I want to see if my pricing on this name is reasonable or if I am overpricing it becuase it's my name.

I think it's a good name for a recruiting / staffing company.

I asked $4,888 and the offered $2,600, after I slept on it I thought how good this would be for a staffing company as they get about 3-5k for every position they fill so this I feel the name was worth more than 5k.

What are some thoughts from people in this thread? What's it worth?

I am not sure if this is going anywhere or not, but I do like the idea. It will never be perfect, but I would definitely participate.

I think being able to bounce numbers off people regarding buying & selling domains is a great idea in theory, but the problem is that you need a tight knit group that you trust - almost like business partners...not sure how you can really do that here - but if you figure it out - it would be great IMO.

I want a private appraisal section where the appraiser will actually buy the name at its appraised price.

Not like, oh, the name is worth a million, then I sell to you then, nah, I will buy it for only $10.
