Anyway, TM issues were *not* the reason why WWF had to change their name to WWE (the panda guys have a TM since 1965 or something like that anyway) but in a nutshell WWE broke a 10 year old agreement they had with the Panda bears.

Actually, it was over TM issues which prompted the agreement in the first place. Then it was the WWE breaking the agreement.
