Well if it is a shill bid it doesn't speak to the honesty of the owners or whoever their agent is who put up the auction. As soon as anyone figures that out, they aren't going to participate in that auction.

Not necessarily. Have you seen the reserve price range for this domain?

This reminds me of the sale of vista.com. A company that was using vistaprint.com bought it.

high bid for xp.com was just $499,000 (not surprising ;) )
But bond.com only went up to $75k and reserve was $1M+

XP is a very popular short form for Experience, so developed into a decent website, it could make its value up. With 150 other TMs competing for the same term, I doubt MS would be such a big *** to WIPO a good, developed site. The only problem could be if the new owner decided to park it.
