Yahoo.is for sale for $100,000 on eBay

Owner is claiming in Icelandic media that he has got several offers for atleast $50,000 and the highest in the high $xx,xxx!

:?:

Am I missing something here?

Example of previous sales in the $100,000 range;
Brisbane.com $100,000
Debit.com $100,000
15.com $100,000
Track.com $100,000
Lofts.com $100,000
Lunch.com $100,000

And even if he would accept the lowest offer of $50,000 it would still beat these domains;
Girls.mobi $49,000
Documentaries.com $48,000
Motels.mobi $47,000
TelevisionShows.com $45,000
Snuff.com $45,000
Single.es $43,337

What would you pay for Yahoo.is?

Care to start an auction? Lets see how far it gets and how high it goes.

Perhaps we can create an IDN with nice accent marks to offer some credibility.

Well he says that he can't get sued because Yahoo is listed in the dictionary, but still WIPO would probably give yahoo the name based on that he is trying to sell it as something related to Yahoo.com.

Well I want to know who actually offered him high $xx,xxx for the domain?

Another funny point - the seller must drink a lot of Kool-Aid and has a 1992 Camaro based on his eBay purchases in the last month! :doh:

I doubt the bid is real. If it is then it is worrying but everything is possible :)
