Wow... If I were the seller I would definitely be sick to my stomach. He just left a TON of money on his plate.

well that prices are normal for the summer season imo, all names are going extremely cheap, even LL.coms

I think you guys are still in the speculation mind set. As you can see, names are not selling for what they once where. Alot of the big buyers already have several LL.com and will not buy them unless the price is right.

As we have seen anotherLL.com posted with a BIN below 100K. I think those they were able to sell in the 150K-200K range to another domainer did very well.

OD.com sold to a very capitalized end user and only went for 220K. How much do you think someone who invests should make on their name? What are the odds that an end user who has the resources to offer 200K or more comes along?

Risk VS Reward

Didnt OD.com sell to a domainer? I spoke to the guy that bought that on Sedo who paid 220k, and he said he was going to try and sell it to Office Depot. Its wierd becuase the OD.com forwards to OfficeDepot.com yet the whois still shows the domainer.

Maybe he made an advertising/ppc deal with them? Perhaps they are tasting it to see if it's something they want to buy? Could be a few other reasons it's pointed to them.

Personally I'm not selling any premiums or LL/LLL's unless they achieve my targets, if I close a deal with a dedicated buyer now it's because they have a definitive reason to purchase "dev/project/marketing". Otherwise I'm sitting on everything until the market cleans up - which it will!

It's the summer season, there's the uncertainty of the US elections, fuel/food prices are higher etc. etc.. However I feel the New Year will begin to see things a bit clearer. There's no point in worrying and winning though because that plagues the general mindset and will effect our industry! IMO - Keep it in perspective!

Look up for the sales history and I hope you will have a better idea what ll/lll market is. Understanding comes with experience...

sometimes, when i come across such sales, i get the feeling that the buyer-seller might have a "trade" dealing, where the buyer pays through non-cash goods to the seller, in addition to the cash price mentioned - to save tax..?

Nice stats, thanks for sharing. I probably need to wait a little bit with ZR and list it @ moniker traffic later this year. Another reason is - I am finishing some construction project and really need quick cash to finalize the last phase.
