I inherited my domain business - been in the family for generations

you must have some good names huh.

as for me i kinda started by accident in 05'.i had an underground strip club in 02' in nyc called "pingaso ent". business was pretty good at first but it started falling off.me and my partners were persistent so we decided to try and legitimize it.in 05' registered the name pingaso.com to turn into website and promote business.one of my friend got arrested, the other just disappeared making me the sole owner of the domain.then godaddy sent me an email saying my domain was about to expire and i started to do research on domaining came across some article on "rick scwartz" and how he has cars, women, and rolexes and how he thinks work sucks and from then on i got sucked into domaining.till this day i own this premium 1 word spanish adult oriented domain and i will let it go for no less than $1000

I started as a hobby, I was in high school, I made sites on free hosts, the ones plastered with ads, using there own sitebuilder, slowly I learned how to edit the html, I remember being so happy when I could code a hyperlink, years later I got myself a $5 a month hosting account and started playing about with php, then mysql, about a year after that I went looking for places with other people who were doing the same, I found namepros, I remember some company selling $1 .info domains so I registered 2 or 3, I cant remember what they were, I then came accross a cgi script for a webproxy so I registered mysticproxy.com, I was so happy with it, and back then before everyone was doing proxies traffic was so easy to get, thousands of uniques took nothing, a few posts on forums and people were amazed at the idea so it spread virally. I sold my site because the hosting got too expensive, I made around $600 if I remember, and I thought wow I can make money so I made 3 or 4 more proxies and sold them at similar prices, eventually giving up and doing nothing for 2 years. I was doing construction, getting up at 5AM, not getting home til 6PM some nights, working out in the rain, not being appreciated, one day I said to myself thats it, my social life went on standstill while I started registering domains and developing, about 6 months later I quit my job, Im living off my ad revenue now and have a small amount of savings, before I had no savings, every week my wages would need to be spent, £230 a week, I make that a day some days now. I urge anyone with the ability, to do the same and quit your day job.
