Its seriously hilarious the way people like acro and all these mobi haters think. top keyword names in all extensions do not sell for 5 and 6 figures when the extension is new. List all the .info, .us, .name, .ws, etc that sold for 6 figures within the first 6 months. I dont even think there has been any names in any of those extensions that has sold for 6 figures EVER and those extensions are old. These 2 mobi names are worth a lot more than the names you have in your signature and you still make fun of it. Mobi haters are just pissed that they were too stupid to invest in mobi from the beginning so now they just want the whole thing to fail so they can feel better about their mistakes. You are saying that only the top keywords are worth owning in any extension and that those names get taken right away. So are you saying it is too late for anyone to invest in any domain name in any extension then since everything good was taken so long ago?

Go back and read my posts again. This time, remove the extra-dark .mobi sunglasses.

I forgot to add that two-word, dash-linked IDN .mobi domains are all the rage.

Yes, it's a keyword sale. Stocks.junk and Girls.junk would probably sell for equally as much. The TLD is irrelevant.

Ohhh, one of those 'keyword' sales....are there people who buy names 'cos of the extention then ? What forum do they hang out on ?

Course its a bloody keyword sale !!!

Bet you'd be hard pushed to get a tenth that price if they were .ws

Go to http://wap.news.com

You don't need a TLD dedicated exclusively to a single type of devices. The .mobi launch was all along a plan to create enough hype about a supposed mobile/cell "universe" and raise money via the selling of the same successful keywords, all over again.

It's brilliant, if you ask me - because domain hyenas (those the eat the junk left over by the keyword catchers) fell for it.

Now, tell me why was .xxx - an industry-specific TLD - turned down?

.xxx has been turned down many times but its back again. It was turned down before because government and religious groups didn't want the adult industry to have a legitmate place on the net. Also because adult webmasters didn't want to see adult be placed in an 'online ghetto' where the only domains allowed to host adult material were .xxx. Besides some greedy companies, naive newbs who actually think they will have a chance to register premium xxx and domainers the adult industry does not want xxx which is the reason why hopefully it will be turned down again.

When .xxx makes it - *when*, not *if* because GW Bush's administration's days are limited - it will be the best thing that has happened on the Internet since the inception of the web browser.

Porn drives the Internet, whether we like it or not.

The .mobi will be used for the redirect, not the .com?

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Maybe my big, red letters were not large enough? Or is it that the .mobi (R) sunglasses you're wearing are too dark and cut off all light?

Porn is a big part of the internet but people like myself who have over hundreds of adult domains aren't crazy about spending 75 bucks a piece just to make sure other people don't register the xxx version. The average person doesn't stand a chance at registering anything good in my opinion. And if laws are passed saying all adult material must be hosted on .xxx, those who own the .coms will be legally coming after those who got the .xxx version. Then you also have the problem of those who own the .net version, who gets the .xxx?

No iDName.

Visit news.com

If you are using a pda, it will go to the wap site. If you're using a PC it will go to the regular site.

Simple as that. Device-agnostic browsing.

Please tell me why then ALL keywords are available on a new TLD? What's the point, if someone can register Stocks.mobi and the .com owner comes after him?

.xxx would not substitute the .com or any other TLD in the adult realm but it would make it more clear that the content is adult, thus easier to block for non-adults.
