the Internext fee has nothing to do with commissions on sales. Most of the auction activity will happen today and tomorrow. The silent auction system will continue to improve as we receive feedback and do more of them. We know that everyone will not be happy...but most seem to be happy with the way things have gone and are going thus far. TRAFFIC will again be a success and there will be even more improvements. It is very new territory for the entire market so be patient.

I've wondered the same thing on 42 of those domains (the other 2 are mine so I can't say anything about them ...)

There is some really great names that will be going for super prices, but that doesn't mean people will even take a look at the offering, much less pay the $99 to bid on them with Moniker. The auction winds down tomorrow afternoon through evening. I'll be keeping an eye on how many are online.

The good part is the user count increased by 30 users today alone and at most times throughout the day there have been 10-16 users on at one time instead of the 2-4 that have been on at one time all along.

BTW - the fee is charged by InterNext....and is just a qualifier to ensure bidders are legit and part of the conference channel. We were allowed to spread the access on this one.

We will be using a different process for TRAFFIC in March.

Sounds good. I appreciate the update. There is room for improvement.

One thing I do find interesting is that there are a lot of domains that are really great but not necessarily adult names in Silent Auction. Many are just first names for girls, or generic names with really good reserve prices, like:

I can't say what's best for you, gmac, but look at some of these names. There are some really nice ones worth bidding on. The worst that can happen is you don't bid high enough, right? But with 2700+ domains to be auctioned today, there is an excellent chance you'll get the ones you really want! Just don't wait until the last minute to bid when the servers will be busy, and don't think you'll be able to buy them direct after the auction as all the names are under 60 day contract with Moniker for the sale.

Maybe the servers are overloaded with bidders. Response does seem to be slower.

Maybe Monte will put a list up later of the most popular domains reviewed since their are so many its really hard to find them in the list.

You got me there. Must be a connectivity flaw in your connection? No one else seems to have the issue that I've heard of. It may be a little slow on the redirection so increasing your timeout time might help. Just a thought.

50 names have bids on them now. It should start getting busy real soon.

It looks like the bulk of the auctions will be ending right around 5 CST, 6 CST 6:15 CST and 7 CST, at least the way they seem to have it staggered. The 6:15 CST one is where names that were in Live will be ending in Silent. The rest are pretty much on the hour. By 7:15 CST, it should be over.

The auction site just went down, right after I received 9 emails about an auction (a domain I have no interest in and wasn't on my watchlist ) ending.

Site says "Website is Under Maintenance"
