Sorry Maroulis, thats not accurate, I was there and wrote them down, these are the domains that DID recieve bids but failed to meet reserve.

Domains numbered 1 thru 51 that did NOT meet reserve.

goodgirls.com - bids at 25K min. no higher bids.
stripshows.com - bids up to 18K
virgins.mobi - bids up to 17K
promqueen.com - bids up to 17K
amateuranalsex.com - bids up to 5K
sexcash.com - bids up to 50K
sucked.com - bids up to 12K
catholicschoolgirls.com - bids up to 20K
sexshows.com - bids up to 40K
penissize.com - bids up to 30K
girlsonly.com - bids up to 41K
cute.com - bids up to 400K
stripping.com - bids up to 75K
limousineservice.com - bids up to 45K
ussenate.com - bids up to 41K
fetish.com - bids up to 600K
privacy.com - bids up to 700K (replaced #51 carbattery.com)

Thanks RaiderGirl. Does anyone have stats for domains #52-#295 that DID recieve bids but failed to meet reserve? Monte? Maroulis?

I think a complete list will give us a better idea of how to price domains for future auctions.

All the Live auction names are up on the silent auction now. Go to silentauction.moniker.com (registration/ $99.00 fee is not required) unless you are planning to Bid (add to Watch list etc) click on the "HOME" botton or the Moniker Logo and you will see all the categories of names on the left.

On right under "Help column" you can download the "Complete List " , and buying tips, and the Advanced search allows you to search by price, keyword (you can add .com as key word etc) , categories including "live auction category" 2-3 Letter names and portfolios. Plus you can sort the list.

Everyone is looking for something different . So we are not showing featuring the premium names on the home page.
There are many premium names in the Live auction list but plenty of others as well.

I have added your suggestion that we add some of the premium names on the homepage but not sure if we can make that change at this time or if it will help.

We do list "Highest Bids", "ending soon" and "last created", as the each name will close out at staggered times

Hope this helps.

NONE of that works. :(

OR... am I just missing it somewhere?

Well...

I go to "silentauction.moniker.com"

First, I don't see a HOME BUTTON... but I do see "home" on the bottom of the page... so I click that. I get to a page that requires a login or for me to sign up to bid. Nothing lest. I don't see "all the categories of names on the left". In fact, I see nothing.

Ah....

You have to punch in "monikervegas07" into the password box and press ENTER... THEN you can see the silent list AND the bids domains currently have.

Clearly, there was nothing good for anything but .com's in the live. The rest were just a trickle.

I have two domains (AmberLee.com and Swarthy.com) with bids already in the silent. I expect more but I hope buyers don't wait until the last minute.

Many of my really good .com's are in silent -- I wish they had been live.

Monte,

Has there been ANY other promotion of the Silent Auction since the day after the Live Auction? I haven't seen anything anywhere. No banners. No press releases. Nothing to indicate much interest. I haven't even seen followup press conferences or releases to the Live auction.

There are 169 registered users and 32 names with bids. I know there will be a few last minute bids (I'm sure pushing a few folks on my side) but overall I wonder if there will be much interest without last minute promotion.

Just wondering out loud.

Registered users: can be FREE "lookie-loos" that haven't paid the $99 to bid... and with 2400 names, only 32 bids. Yeah, let's hope for a bunch of sand baggers.

John, any possibility of adding a search for monthly revenue stats or traffic?

Seems like a huge waste of time compiling and submitting this info if no attention is going to be drawn to it. I don't think the traffic buyers who start bidding wars want to click on all 2700 domains to get this info.

silent auction has been advertised on moniker.com website for at least 1 month

I was really wondering about Post-Live auction stuff. It seems like now that the Live is over, there has been nothing from Moniker to promote the silent in the places I've been looking.

John, any possibility of adding a search for monthly revenue stats or traffic?

I may have agreed with you before the auction began and bids were accepted, but once it began you could easily have people pulling out of the auctions with existing bids and moving there money elsewhere. It might be a good idea for next year.

Does anyone know what happened to the "bundles" that were to be sold at Live auction? Did they sell? Were non-sold bundles broken up?

don't think they did any bundles at the live... not positive though. (except for one bundle of 2 aphrodesiac.com, afrodesiac.com) which didn't sell.

I'm disappointed with Silent almost completely, despite bids on two of my names.

I've already heard from one person I had to redirect to Moniker who would have bid on one of my names but didn't believe it was right for Moniker to charge him to register to bid, especially since the Live auction was over and Moniker was already charging me 15% on every sale.

And then the layout -- I've never seen anything so unattractive to potential bidders. It looks like almost no effort was put into a quality template. Instead, it gives prominance to "The Last Five Auctions Listed" which is great for the guys who listed STRIPPING.BIZ and NEVADAGUYS.COM and others which was seen by everyone on the friggin home page for the last 8 days. Even the 32 ones with bids we had to hunt for. No order to it, it appears, and the "featured domains" I couldn't figure out how they are even listed.

No, I'm sorry to say the Silent was and will end up crap this time around. I see very little last minute interest in terms of "views" so I don't expect a whole heck of a lot in the way of last minute bids.

Regardless of what was sold and what will be sold, I believe Monte's design crew let us down bigtime on this part of the auction. Perhaps the next one will be more promising. Putting 2700 names in silent auction with poor site organzation was just foolish and counter-productive.

I was going to try for TRAFFIC in March but now I think I'll pass. I don't want to give an exclusive right to sell for 60 days for something with this poor of a layout and lack of promotion.

It looks like someone has bid on eight names tonight, bringing the total to 44.

The odd part about it is I received a notification that I was watching one of the domains and wanted to be notified. I didn't. I checked my Items to Watch and it wasn't in the list. Not sure how or why I got notified.

Looking at the now 44 domains that have bids... I've come to the conclusion that either I don't have a clue what a GOOD domain is (i.e. dejectedly.com, vacationpolicies.com, allcenterfolds.com)

or...

Or I don't know what else! Look at the GREAT domains that have NO BIDS. It just doesn't make sense.
