he says he never claimed it as a traffic or revenue domain, therefore he doesn't know what my motivations to buy the domain were, even though my offer was based on its' monthly revenue that was posted in the sales thread "makes such and such a month" with stat links provided..

tell him that you feel he did not complete an honest transaction, and that you will have to warn other members not to do business with him. If I buy from him next I'll be p*ssed at you! ;)

There's really only 1 of 2 options here:

1. An agreement is reached.
2. Deal is over, both part ways, and appropriate forum feedback is left.

If you've already tried several times to reach an agreement with no compromise, then it sounds like that only leaves one option.

Well, after he sees the thread, hopefully there will be an agreement.

thats impossible for the site to have some traffic and as soon as you take over it drops to zero. Either he pulled a scam or this miracle happened.

well.. that's happened to me countless times when I was a newbie...
I always assumed that it was my fault, and now I can see bad domains and good domains.

However, I'll leave a negative feedback, regardless of a refund or not.
1) If the drop was due to fake traffic that deserve a negative feedback by its own.
2) If the drop wasn't due to fake traffic he should have pointed out traffic source, and made clear that the domain wasn't a traffic domain, honestly.

ok, if the seller wanted to really scam you (and assuming he was a little bit smart) would he not have at least himself typed in the name to show *some* traffic? or even buy traffic for a month just so enough times passes by until it drops right to 0?
going from that much to 0 is really really weird.
are you sure there werent links to subdomains that you are not catching?
I mean, he sold it to you with such stats, at the very least, a scammer would direct traffic for a month you'd think to pull a good one off.
probably best to expose him/her unless there are other parts in the deal that specifically called the sale to be as is and independent of the traffic.

I agree with the last 2 posts.

Even if he refunds you, what guarantee us that he won't scam someone else in the near future?

I suppose I could search for all posts made by you.

But post the sales thread in question already - this is going nowhere!

If the thread mentioned above is the correct domain ... I'll let you cut your losses and buy the name from you for $50.00. Just let me know if you want to recover some of your losses ;)
