There is no AU-Asia Union,or .asia will be a sweet dream.
Although the domainers tried to grab something good in the good gold rush in .asia river, however, they find there are so many nails in the gold sands.
Too many reserved domains, high price for top domains via auction,
undeveloped economy though some are in fast development,as far as I know most of people have no idea about domains and websites.

I am not persuading domainers leave .asia, there are chances, but not that ideal, and many risks too will destroy your .asia gold rush dreams.

.Asia might turn out to be great in a year or two, but so far it does sound like a nightmare to get your domains. I didn't register any and I do have a contact and address in Asia.

sorry to hear about your troubles with .asia. as for me, i got the names that i wanted. They are in Japanese and some are in English. not bad from my point of view. I guess .asia should stay with people in asia. perhaps that is the reason why you didnt get any of the names you wanted. Maybe there will be a .americas extension soon?

I agree .asia landrush has been a nightmare, not just because of high auctions prices. Auctions for landrush domains haven't even begun to be processed. The registry has delayed auctions for a month or more... supposedly because they haven't finished processing sunrise applications. I noticed Landrush pre-registrations have not been closed, they may be still accepting applications in hopes to get more people in on the auctions = more $$$$ for the registry. They are running the landrush very untransparent and you can't be sure what is going to happen next.

I tried registering a few through Eurodns Today which was a nightmare. The domains were not pre-reserved but Eurodns did not register them for me. Two domains are stuck Pending, the other two are not showing up at all. One of the domains has been registered by someone else, and the other is showing as available still!

But finally they processed applications in time. Possibly they did not think through before hand how to deal if things if applicatoins are so high.

There were lots of interest in .asia domain and I think it might not take long for .asia domains to be sold at good prices.

I my self register around 100 domains which include

decorating .asia
landlord .asia
estateagency .asia
homedesigns .asia
housedesigns .asia
footballforum .asia

and many more.

I saw through EuroDNS tricks from the beginning no one when so many people didn't. I tried to tell people but everyone was too blinded by their 4€ or 6€ discount for prereg. They say if you don't get the domain you will get a credit refund.

But what are you going to use it on? Their .coms reg are like 18€. So you basically just lost your money if you prereged and didn't get the domains.
