Too bad we can not hold the original firm we dealt with (Pool, etc) accountable.
I don't see why not. They are paid to deliver the domain name(s), aren't they?

Just transferred to Enom a domain from NamesBeyond (pool capture). Flawless.

galcomm sucks. I have names that have been there almost a year and I haven't been able to use them.

Has anyone talked to Pool.com on the phone? What's the average response time...I waited for 10 minutes at the "all reps are busy" signal. What a waste of $2.

That's where their disclaimers kick in. :disappoin

Disclaimers or not, any charge can be disputed via the CC that was used, particularly when no service was rendered. Pool's notes say that they can take back any site backordered through them as part of reprimanding for reversing charges. I can only see this happening with domains still at their affiliate registrars, even though it's still stretched quite a lot. If I have to wait 60 days past my last grabs to take them out of Pool, I guess I'll do it. It's within my rights when using a CC to be protected from situations like this: instant payment on my part & no service. **** them!

Update: Bleh...Pool responded that they are working on fixing Galcomm's crap & will get back to me on Monday. We shall see.

I believe pool only has 1 person answering the phone.

When I use to call, it was always the same person (some woman, I forget her name, nice sounding name though).

I finally have an account username and password from Galcomm. Let's see how it goes in 60 days from now when I will be transferring it out.

On another note, RGNames have declined transfer out for the 2nd time, despite their reassurance that my 1st failure to transfer out would not be repeated.

Well the 60 days are over and the transfer from Galcomm to Enom went through without a hitch (and without an email from Galcomm either).

The thing is, I dont have any info to unlock them.
When I requestr info, I get an automated reply, and when I reply, I get another auto reply saying they auto replied...
so, I auto kick myself in the a**

The one I had trouble with, I sent emails to Pool.com daily along with copies to ICANN. Finally, Pool *ASSISTED* Galcomm with giving me a username. It's a pain in the ass until that point because they don't offer password retrieval without a username e.g. by the domain name. I would email the drop catching company that got you the domains, most likely Pool and explain that you will pursue this legally if their dropcatching registrant won't give you what you've paid for.

I think we went through this quite a while back, but there seems to be a pattern to the assistance/support/response you get from Galcomm. We found many cases were non-Americans contacted them and got a response within a day or two. With one exception, Americans got no response, EVER. I personally wrote them many times via email AND used their online support form and after more than a year, STILL no reply.

Use a name that doesn't sound American, use a non-US email service and I'll bet you get a speedy reply.

Another story is their .eu pre-registration. I pre-registered some names with Galcomm, only to find that they only caught one and kept it for themselves! E-mail contact and even phone contact with Moshe was futile. Did they release the name to me? Noooo...

See the email from their Technical Support Desk, Vany Martinez:
Your application for domain name xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.eu was processed through Communigal Communications LTD and was unsucessfull for getting it at Landrush.

As you may realize in the WHOIS information, the Registrar is Sitename LLC. As such, your application through us Communigal Communication LTD was not sucessfull.

1. The admin contact is: Domain Manager, Organisation: Galcomm, Email: [email protected], etc... all Galcomm.
2. Sitename.com is the SAME as Galcomm! The login page is the same for both "registrars": https://www.communigal.net/scripts/rslLogin.asp?op=get

Not a very reliable company if they take my pre-orders, and they register the names for themselves.

Needless to say, I am VERY unhappy about Galcomm. NOT one registrar you'd voluntarily go to. :mad2:

So anyone has any luck contacting them? I am not a US resident :)
But still no answer. Auth code for a .com is wrong, but they don`t tell the right one :(
