Acroplex,
I contacted Moniker, for the auction the domains don't have to be regged at Moniker
another words lets say X domain resevere is 1 milliion.. the will bid it up to 950K, and then of couse it passes. This practice can only hurt sellers in the long run.
Other genuine bidders create a "market value" that give confidence to the next bidder to bid higher. You don't get that same confidence to bid higher when 'bidding on behalf of the seller' is practiced.............unless you don't understand what 'bidding on behalf of the seller' means. I was surprised the Oversee allowed it to happen.
Domainfest was MUCH better run in my opinion. Not only did they have min bidding which eliminated the need for shill bidding
Hi,
I am a little confused about this auction. Are any bids that are less than the reserve genuine, since they will all be rejected? In other words, could anyone just throw out any number knowing that it will be rejected? Thanks.
Rich
Exactly, I do not understand reserve in range ie $100K~$250K, because it cause a lot of time wasted with research. If I knew some domain is ie $120K I would bid but if it was $240K it would be too much. So I make research in case it is $120K or less to find out later that the reserve is too high = time wasted.you put the reserve price, bidding starts from there, period
