That is one SERIOUS header. When can we buy the t-shirts and ashtrays? :D.

I see Disney tones too... It's the font, and the colors .. but I blame Timechange for putting that image into my head :D

To whom it may concern:
You may want to optimise the graphics and code a bit.
I have a fast connection but page load times of DNF are 1-10th of what they were.

The look is OK but I think you could have accomplished the same thing with half the realestate.

Hire a web developer and fire your web designer.

Good Luck!

I was being nice GD. Now that I've surfed a bit I wish I would have waited to post.
I would have said much worse.
Like:

And then some....
Cheers!

PS. With a header like that how long will it be before we have to scroll just to get past the sticky's? Doh!

I took a look in 800 X 600 res, and you have to scroll right to see the whole nav bar, but the header image isn't wide enough, and there is white space.

You can bet if something is gaudy at 1024x768++ that its going to be really putrid at a lower res.

I had no intentions of spanking anybody tonight but somebody needs a time-out at the very least
Good Luck!

I thought I was at the wrong site when I first logged in.

The "Dn Forum.com" logo is nice ,but the rest of it looks crappy!

Too much like so many other webpages. The old header with the new logo would have been the perfect fit IMO. But who's asking for my opinion.

It reminds me of a hosting header, and the one guy in the header doesn't look a community to me.

Guess I'll have to get used to it

Yea, the guy in the header makes it look very template"ish", ... The whole site is going to be sort of a work-in-progress for a little while, so all the input helps, keep it coming :D

There are actually more than one person in the header if you look closer. :D

I like it - makes a nice change.

Too slow? You can buy my old 1200 baud modem, so you can upgrade from 300/75 :D

Too big? Does anyone still use 800x600 these days?!

I'm not as concerned with the pageload time (although with a huge graphic like that, its an issue). I'm MORE concerned with the links going across so very far.

My philosophy is that ALL webpages should fit inside of 750 pixel wide window (even if they can grow to encompass more). The minimum width right now is 870, which completely bounces out of a 800x600 screen. If you could fix that, I personally wouldn't be too concerned about much else... although nice stylishly economic designs are eye-candy to me. :)

I use a 1280x1024 screen (and sometimes a 1600x1200), but web pages that do not require being opened so wide allows me to adjust my windows and multi-surf much better.
